I am a Ph.D. candidate in Consumer Neuroscience investigating how immersive technologies, virtual reality in particular, shape the way we experience culture and services. My doctoral project, funded by the EU Recovery Plan (NRRP), combines neurophysiological measurement (EEG, GSR), psychometrics, and behavioral experiments to model how VR transforms psychological distance, engagement, and downstream consumer responses. My path is deliberately interdisciplinary. Trained in psychology, cognitive science, and economics (Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Paris School of Economics, Université Lyon 2), I am now based at the Interuniversity Department of Physics "Michelangelo Merlin" (Università degli Studi di Bari / Politecnico di Bari / INFN), where consumer research meets data science, signal processing, and complex systems modeling. I recently completed a nine-month visiting research stay at the Neuro & Digital Marketing Lab (IQS School of Management, Barcelona), where I ran a multimodal VR study synchronizing EEG, GSR, and self-report data via iMotions. My work is conducted in partnership with cultural institutions such as Teatro degli Arcimboldi (Milan) and its technology partner Impersive (immersive 360° VR production), and has been presented at international conferences including SERVSIG 2026. Before my Ph.D., I worked in the French government's behavioral insights team (DITP), applying behavioral science to public policy. What drives me: bridging rigorous neuroscience methods and real-world experiential questions, how technology changes what we feel, remember, and choose. I am always open to discussing research collaborations in consumer neuroscience, immersive technologies, and experiential marketing.
Topic: Modeling the crossmodal perception of VR cultural experiences. A neuroscience approach. Ph.D. project funded by the EU Recovery Plan (NRRP), investigating how immersive technologies shape cultural and service experiences, in collaboration with Teatro degli Arcimboldi (Milan) and the Neuro & Digital Marketing Lab, IQS School of Management (Universitat Ramon Llull, Barcelona). The doctorate is hosted at the Interuniversity Department of Physics "Michelangelo Merlin", a joint structure between the Università degli Studi di Bari, the Politecnico di Bari, and the INFN (Italian National Institute for Nuclear Physics), a research environment with strong expertise in data science, signal processing, and complex systems modeling, applied here to consumer neuroscience. Research pipeline: synchronized EEG (Neuroelectrics Enobio 8), GSR (Shimmer), and self-report measures integrated via iMotions, with VR stimuli deployed on Meta Quest 3S (Unity). Methods include experimental design, psychometric scale validation, structural equation modeling, and mediation analysis (Hayes PROCESS). Visiting researcher at IQS Barcelona (2025–2026): neurophysiological data collection, M.Sc. thesis co-supervision, and teaching at Bachelor and Master levels.
