I am in charge of the Amsterdam Office. I have joined Malcolm Hollis in 2016 to open the office in Amsterdam which covers the Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg) region and the wider European mainland after having worked for the Dutch branch of another UK originated construction and management consultancy for well over 13+ years. The Amsterdam office is part of a network of 23 offices throughout the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe. We service both existing clients from Malcolm Hollis who are operating on mainland Europe and local clients. Our services can be adopted in all phases of the assets life cycle such as: business case development, design, construction, maintenance, operations and hand back or end-of-life. You will find our professionals acting within the realms of full-service Project Management, Transaction Advisory Services, Contract & Claims Management/Support, Dispute Resolution, Procurement and Technical Support Services which includes measured surveys. The unique blend of these services allows us to provide a robust offering from individual (niche) services up to total engineering solutions whether the property asset is a residential, commercial, cure, care, law and order, heritage, museum or defence scheme. Whilst I undertake most of our services, I specialise in Project Management and Technical Advisory on mainland Europe, also servicing PPP schemes. Due to the complexity of these, often major schemes, it has been an educational and interesting journey for the PPP market to become mature in this region. As the public sector’s focus for these schemes in the region is on value for money and performance rather than getting these schemes funded, the softer skills have become vastly more important as transparent communication is the key success factor whereby both public and private sector parties as well as investors value the transparency in which we operate and often have to create by breaking through traditional patterns.
