I’m Rohan Kumar Shah, a Software Engineer II at MongoDB's internal Data Platforms team where we develop, deploy and maintain various in-house platforms & tools to allow our stakeholders to become more data-driven. I value tech that creates real-world impact. During JPMorgan Chase’s Code for Good’23, my team built a solution that streamlined management for an NGO supporting thousands of underprivileged children, a reminder of why I love what I do. Outside of work, I love to paint and grow things, sometimes databases, sometimes plants. Art helps me express my thoughts and boosts my imagination and Gardening keeps me grounded, curious, and always learning from nature. It reminds me that growth, whether in plants or careers, takes patience, consistency, and care. Always looking to connect with people who are passionate about technology, sustainability, and building a better world, one system (or one seed) at a time.
Developed ”Query Caching Service” which aims to enhance the performance and efficiency of query execution by intercepting queries from the Presto Gateway and serving cached results when available.
During the Code for Good hackathon, our 6-member team enhanced the Rainbow Home Foundation's impact on underprivileged children by developing an efficient system to track and manage 3457 young beneficiaries.
