- Supported two project managers across diverse phases, including planning, monitoring progress, expenses, budget, and handling technical documentation. - Provided basic engineering and procurement support by designing 3D models for 60 retrofits and new recycling plants and crafting budget estimates and detailed proposals aligned with customer needs. - Handled equipment price inquiries, cost price calculations, process flow diagrams, tender documents, and client presentations. - Led final efficiency testing of a plastic recovery facility in the presence of the customer and third-party stakeholders - the largest of its kind in Italy. - Involved in the cold and hot commissionings of 3 metals, paper, cardboard, and plastic recovery facilities. - Analyzed data and developed plant monitoring dashboards aligned with industry 4.0 standards.
- Conducted computational fluid dynamic analysis using OpenFOAM: simulated multiphase flow, phase change, and heat transfer in a steam sterilizer. - Handled CAD surfacing and linear finite element analysis using Solidworks and Midas NFX: structural verification of an aerial platform.
Studied the hydrodynamics and heat transfer of a fluidized bed reactor: - Design and implementation of new features to the test rig as well as problem findings and modifications; for example, implementation of a single bubble injection mechanism using LabView and National Instrument devices - Ran experiments and evaluated data
I initiated a collaboration from scratch between Politecnico's LEAP lab and the Paul Saul Scherrer Institute. I offered my expertise to PSI. We communicated their needs. LEAP provided supervision on my CFD analysis. Thesis Subject: A CFD study on the hydrodynamic of a gas-solid multiphase reactor with energy storage applications through Methanation Specific libraries were added to the OpenFoam solver and the obtained results agreed with experimental data. Learned the basics of C++ and object-oriented programming.
