Responsible for the safe and reliable operations of the Polyethylene Plants (LDPE, HDPE and UHPE) at the Geleen Site, leading about 150 people. Driving changes in culture and performance and responsible for the production KPI’s regarding safety, production volume and quality.
Leading the SEVESO manufacturing organization on a daily basis and being responsible for the main processes (SHE, compliancy, Quality, full P&L responsible, staff 30 FTE, OPEX, CAPEX, etc.).
Key responsibilities: - Converting business plan into daily operations with respect to Safety, Health & Environment (SHE), Quality, Productivity & Optimized Cost; - Ensuring compliance based on business and legal requirements; - Managing the operator team (20 FTE) and daily operations to achieve the production targets and monitor plant performance and take necessary actions; - Ensuring Operations, Technology, Maintenance and Supply Chain activities are fully coordinated; - Implementation of hardware/software projects and process changes; - Driving initiatives and performance improvement throughout the organization; - Coordinating trials, startups, shutdowns and new product introduction; - Providing technical expertise in the daily operations of the unit; assist operators in resolving gaps between actual performance versus plan; - Recruitment of new employees in manufacturing.
Key responsibilities: - Supporting and advising management to achieve Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE), financial and business objectives; - Identifying and evaluating production performance improvement opportunities to be executed; - Monitoring and analyzing manufacturing performance to identify bottlenecks, deviations and opportunities to improve the production process; - Supporting technical projects, problem solving and troubleshooting; - Coordinating the execution of regular trial runs and experiments in the plant and evaluation afterwards; - Defining budget proposals regarding quantitative and qualitative production volumes and other production related costs; - Classifying prime and off spec production and continuously improve the quality; - Supporting and training of the operator team.
