My main interest is neurogenesis during development and its preservation through evolution. However, I always like to keep an eye on new approaches and techniques from other far and closely related disciplines. I am not afraid of big data analysis, I have a solid biomolecular formation and I can handle experimental work in diverse species (Mus musculus, gallus gallus and Xenopus laevis). I like to assume responsibilities and fix goals to fight for; but for me, sharing ideas and teamwork are essential to overcome complex challenges. New opportunities or ideas are always welcome!
Gene regulation and chromatin organization in gastrulation
Predoctoral Researcher in PhyloBrain lab (http://www.phylobrain.com/) working on neocortex evo-devo, specially in discovering the diversity of neural stem cells in the development of the vertebrate brain and their evolutionarily conserved neurogenic mechanisms.
Master´s internship at "Thyroid hormones and central nervous system" group, directed by Dra. Guadaño Ferraz (IIBM-CSIC) carrying out my final master´s project named "Characterization of functional and structural auditive system in Allan-Herndon-Dudley syndrome" (cerebral hypothyroidism) using genetic expression analysis (scRNAseq), electroencephalography, electron micrography and immunohistological approaches in mice.
Investigation in endocrine disruption in neural development of Xenopus Laevis (in vivo imaging, fluorescence, toxicology assays, immunohistology, experiment plannning, stadistical analysis). Part of french national project MADONNA.
Extracurricular internship at Lazarillo Lab (María Dolores Ganfornina´s and Diego Sanchez´s laboratory), learning about demyelination process related with lipocalin ApoD in mouse with molecular essays (cell culture, electroblotting, inmunohistochemistry).
