I am a Senior Evaluator at the Centre for Education Statistics and Evaluation (CESE) in the NSW Department of Education. This is an Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career Researcher Award for a project titled: "Hypnotic illusions and clinical delusions: How closely and usefully can hypnosis model delusional beliefs?". The aim of this project is to use hypnosis to model clinical delusions and investigate the extent to which these hypnotic delusions can model their clinical counterparts. My role involves designing and conducting experiments, analysing data, presenting findings at national and international conferences, publishing manuscripts reporting the project's outcomes, and supervising research students and staff.
This was a Macquarie University Research Fellowship for a project titled: “Using hypnosis to recreate delusions and confabulations in the laboratory”. The aim of this project was to use hypnosis to recreate clinical symptoms such as delusions and confabulations in the laboratory. My role was to design and conduct experiments, analyse data, present findings at national and international conferences, publish manuscripts reporting the project’s outcomes, and supervise research students and staff.
This project was funded by a Macquarie University Research Development Grant, and aimed to recreate clinical delusions in the laboratory using hypnosis. My role as Research Associate involved establishing a new Hypnosis Laboratory at Macquarie University, designing and conducting experiments, analysing data, preparing manuscripts for publication, presenting findings at international conferences, and helping supervise students and research staff.
