I’m a C suite executive with a track record of transforming companies and making them better. As a trusted business adviser and leader I serve my partners, colleagues and directors so that collectively we can better serve our customers, shareholders and investors. The key to any successful business is cash flow. My primary role as CFO is to guide the discourse surrounding the maximization of cash flow, translate that discussion into a concrete plan and ensure the enterprise then stays on course. I realize that plans must be dynamic because the business world is fluid, with changing demographics, regulations and economic pressures. My leadership style is collaborative. I don’t look to have all the answers, but know how to avail myself of others’ talents to find the best ones for the business. I ask a lot of questions and sift through the responses to uncover common themes and best ideas. Then, as a finance leader I use this information to help formulate and execute the strategy that will drive the organization forward. I believe that business is not always a zero sum game where in each transaction someone wins and another loses. My task, as a Chief Financial Officer, is to identify my counterparty’s needs, while taking into account those of my business, and provide solutions where all parties can win. My greatest achievement as CFO has been educating the organizations I serve on the financial consequences of competing business plans with the collective goal of identifying that plan which will yield the highest probability of a positive outcome.
