I am Robin Teurlings, founder/CEO of The Startup Buddy and managing partner of the Zero Emissions Fund. My first enterprise was as a street musician at the age of 12, I started investing with those earnings at 13 and I did my first angel investment at 25. I hold a master’s degree in public policy and public administration and have worked in small startups as well as large corporates like Accenture, Altran and ING. My motto is “work hard, play hard”. I enjoy working with entrepreneurs and innovators and focus a lot of my energy on helping to mitigate climate change through my work in the field of decarbonization and sustainability.
The Zero Emissions Fund is our family investment fund and invests in startups and funds around the world working on practical market solutions and services that reduce climate-changing emissions. The Startup Buddy believes that founders and innovators with access to the right knowledge and resources have a 50% higher chance of building sustainable businesses and scalable inventions. Our goal is to provide these resources and knowledge to all entrepreneurs and innovators. We do this through our online platform which is accessible for any entrepreneurs and investors anywhere, anytime. The Startup Buddy provides mentoring, toolkits, learning, services, network and everything else someone needs to grow a business from idea to raising funds. The 2nd hurdle for companies to grow is funding. The Startup Buddy connects entirely online 2000 founders to 700 investors that look for companies to invest in. Additionally, we very successfully connect entrepreneurs and investors via our Demo Days and Speed Dating events. In short, we are an online startup boot camp for entrepreneurs combined with a startup equity trading platform for investors around the world.
The Startup Buddy Pte. Ltd. is the incorporation entity for The Startup Buddy and is registered as UEN 201621739R. The company is formerly known as Investeur Pte Ltd. The name was changed after pivoting the business model to what The Startup Buddy is now, an online startup building and fundraising platform.
