I have a degree in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from the University of Central Lancashire, where I obtained my MS in Fire and Emergency Service Management with Disaster Management and my BS in Forensic Science and Criminal Investigation. -Displayed sound judgement under pressure in life-threatening situations and other emergency scenarios -Responded to police station- and 999-dispatched calls involving traffic incidents, emergencies and criminal activity, including Serious crimes, domestic violence, assault/battery, theft, burglary, drug trafficking and vandalism -Worked with patrol partner and other first responders to assess scenes, ensure victim/public safety, apprehend suspected criminal offenders, secure crime scenes and conduct preliminary investigations -Skilled at preparing crime scenes for investigation, including interviewing witnesses and victims, collecting evidence, preparing reports, and updating activity logs -Trained to quickly analyse situations and use critical thinking to make sound judgments -Trained in necessary procedures such as first aid when emergency services is not immediately available

-Support the day to day management of the LAMP Testing activity and staff, ensuring that the testing lab runs effectively and efficiently and in line with relevant procedures, governance and SOPs. -Undertake activities in support of the reporting of COVID 19 LAMP test results, including identifying erroneous results and establishing the cause. -Ensure that staff within the lab are aware of and comply with legal obligations with respect to health & safety, GDPR and any other relevant pieces of legislation, and ensure the ongoing training of laboratory staff where applicable. -Monitor and review the performance of the LAMP Laboratory Team through regular discussion and performance appraisals in line with University processes. -Monitor and maintain appropriate professional standards and policies within the LAMP laboratory as directed by the Lead Scientist / Lab Manager. -To manage the effective utilisation and functionality of specialist lab equipment, coordinating repairs and servicing as required. -To manage and maintain inventories of stocks and consumables such as reagents, ensuring these are held at acceptable levels. -To update laboratory procedures to reflect new processes and current techniques and to provide training to other laboratory staff on such changes. -To prepare comprehensive data, as requested by the Lead Scientist / Lab Manager or Governance Group, on lab activity and capacity. -To be able to work autonomously in terms of sample analysis and prioritisation of incoming work. -To provide comprehensive and pro-active support to the Lead Scientist / Lab Manager or other research colleagues with scientific developments, evaluation and research projects emerging from the LAMP laboratory project as appropriate. -To undertake other duties and activities relevant to the role and commensurate with the level of the post as directed by the appraiser.
