main task for me and my team is to investigate devices which were returned by customers because of malfunctioning. In these investigations we take every complaint serious, because the customer needs these devices to work without any errors. The results of the investigations are recorded in a database which allows us (Insulet) to recognize trends from incidental errors in order to retrieve and resolve faults in the design. side tasks: Create and update protocols, work instructions Set up, and validate laboratory ISO certification of laboratory

In this development testing of the products is a key asset, and to make sure the test results are correct, the tools for testing have to be maintained at all time. In addition to the usual focus areas in the truck industry - such as reliability, fuel economy, driver comfort and cost per kilometer - there are two major social themes that drive the development of future technologies: the worldwide reduction of CO2 and the improvement of the air quality, especially in urban areas. As a maintenance engineer it is my task to ensure that the tools for testing our products work correctly. This maintenance comprehends temporary calibration and validation, repair and trouble shooting in case of malfunction.
Analyzing quality notifications and determine the action to be taken. A quality notification (QN) is written when a discrepantion was observed in the standards concerning product and/or the proces. In order to make sure that the quality of our products are guaranteed, we register every abnormality in the production process. This registration allows us to monitor quality issues and to prevent them. After the registration of a quality issue my job is to determine the severity of the issue, to perform an intitial root cause analysis and to make sure the right person/department is notified about the issue and if necessary take action.

Next to my regular job as System Engineer I completed a few tasks for Q&R. The first assignment was to perform a cross-check over the existing quality management system and the ISO13485-2016 to find the gaps and point out where we have to write additional quality maintenance procedures to live up to the standard. We thought I would need 5 days for this; Finished it in three. Second and present assignment is to structure the Quality Management system for IXR. Goal is to strucurize the documents in the QMS in such a way that our work process - the way it looks in a flow chart - and the QMS are similar. Some new procedures may have to be written, because shortly our process has been reviewed.
