About

Experienced Bain Associate Partner with Passion for Private Equity, Technology, and Entrepreneurship I am an Associate Partner at Bain & Company, focusing on the Advanced Manufacturing & Services and the Private Equity sector. I have worked on assignments regarding Performance Improvement, Strategy, Post Merger Integration, and Re-Organization for a broad range of international businesses as well as on several Due Diligence tasks for Private Equity firms. I have a passion for this job since it builds on core principles that underpin my beliefs – analyze before making decisions, work together as a team to achieve demanding objectives, and always be open to face (and overcome) additional obstacles along the way. My previous work experience includes various internships in the investment banking, consulting, and automotive industry. In 2018, I have received my Ph.D. from Stanford University. My research has been focused on big urban data and digital technologies in cities. I am passionate about innovative ways to address organizational, strategic and technical challenges in an urban setting. In addition, I have been chosen as an ‘Accel Innovation Scholar’ and have conducted research at the Harvard Kennedy School as an affiliate. I hold an M.S. in 'Mgmt. Science and Engineering' from Stanford, as well as a M.Sc. and B.Sc. in 'Industrial Engineering and Mgmt.' from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). During my studies, I instructed several entrepreneurship courses at Stanford, thereby receiving the ‘Centennial Teaching Assistant Award’. To inspire others and share my insights, I am a frequent speaker on data and analytics, smart cities, and entrepreneurship topics (e.g. 'Digital Cities Summit' (Stanford), Civic Analytics Network (Harvard), 'Data & Analytics within Cities' (ETH Zurich)). Specialties: Private Equity, entrepreneurship and innovation, new venture formation, data and analytics, smart cities (incl. governance and management), infrastructure and industrialized housing
