王博升 | Robert Ronneberger, CFA, CAIA I build businesses at the intersection of investment expertise and commercial strategy. Across 15+ years in Asia Pacific, I've worked in three interconnected worlds: investment research and portfolio management, corporate strategy and development, and client distribution. This foundation allows me to move seamlessly from developing investment insights to building the businesses that deliver them. I've raised billions in assets — across traditional and alternative investments — shaped multi-billion-dollar business strategies, and sat on both sides of the table: with investment teams on portfolio construction, and alongside clients shaping investment strategies. I've advised central banks, sovereign wealth funds, insurers, family offices, and wealth intermediaries across the region. Before finance, I founded and built a business at age 16, growing it to over 120 people across Europe before selling it. That experience shaped my commercial instincts and taught me how to build things that last. I am a CFA and CAIA charterholder. I speak Mandarin, German, and English fluently, and I'm deeply familiar with institutional and private wealth channels across Asia Pacific.
Partnered with institutional asset owners across Asia — including insurers, endowments, foundations, and family offices — to help them navigate complex markets and achieve their investment objectives. My focus: building long-term relationships, providing tailored investment solutions, and collaborating across teams to strengthen how we serve clients in the region.
Partnered with BlackRock's global investment teams to develop investment solutions for institutional and wealth clients across Asia Pacific — spanning actively managed ETF solutions, OCIO mandates, and retirement strategies. The role sat at the intersection of investment expertise and client partnership: translating complex ideas into portfolio allocations and outcomes, while helping clients navigate these strategic decisions. I also contributed to building BlackRock's onshore China capabilities.
Worked alongside senior business leaders to define strategic priorities across Asia Pacific — with a focus on investments, growth markets, and long-term positioning. Highlights included leading strategy for the APAC Multi-Asset Strategies business (overseeing $100B in AUM), helping shape the firm's Sustainable Investing approach, and contributing to BlackRock's entry into China.
Continued research coverage while contributing directly to portfolio management decisions for flagship funds with NT$30bn in AUM. Part of the team that earned Lipper Awards for "Best Bond Fund" in 2013 and 2014.
Provided fixed income research on Emerging Market debt, covering both sovereign and credit. Supported investment decisions across flagship funds.
At age 16, founded and managed an online gaming business with over 120 staff, leading to successful sale after 6 years. Developed strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills while navigating the challenges of entrepreneurship.
