Sustainability, for me, is a question of resilience, trust, and long-term value creation in complex systems. I work at the intersection of sustainability, digital infrastructure, and responsible innovation. My focus is on translating sustainability from ambition into execution: into strategy, governance, steering, investment logic, core business, and customer value. As Global Head of Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility at Deutsche Telekom, I am responsible for the company’s sustainability agenda and its group-wide integration into strategy, steering, and execution. Previously, I spent 17 years at Philips in innovation, strategy, and sustainability roles, most recently as Global Head of Sustainability. My background in physics and economics shapes my perspective on transformation: long-term business success emerges where economic performance, societal value, and planetary boundaries are managed together. Here I share my perspective on: • Sustainability as a driver of value creation and resilience • Economic success within planetary boundaries • Responsible digitalization and digital infrastructure • Trust and legitimacy in technological systems • Sustainable transformation in complex organizations
