Designed and performed automated and manual tests for backend web services using both the SOAPUI and ORACLE Enterprise manager tools. Contributed to the creation of a standard operating procedures manual for use in testing IT infrastructure in support of a contract with the Transportation Safety Administration. Developed and maintained regression tests used for verifying client-server communications for blackberry and Apple I pad wireless devices which replaced tests that were used on obsolete devices that were no longer being used. This development included researching the technical documentation for each device and writing test procedures which were clear enough that individuals with no knowledge of the device could run the test. Performed certification tests for GOTS/COTS products being added to the IT infrastructure used by the Transportation Security Administration. This included installing the product on a test machine, performing functional testing after the product has been installed, performing regression testing to verify that no other applications were adversely affected, and sending the test results to the customer with a recommendation. Developed and performed functional tests used for fixes and upgrades being added in support of the IT infrastructure used by the Transportation Security Administration. Performed maintenance of automated test scripts using both the HP Quality Center test tool and scripts developed from the ground up using the VBScript language.
Performed verification of a database tracking application used by the Department of Homeland Security for granting security clearances. Verification included planning for all aspects of testing including test data, test tools, and configuration requirements as well as developing test plans and test scripts. Performed backend testing in support of an Oracle database migration using SQL commands to ensure all business rules were followed.
