Functioned as a problem solver for the software engineers and big-data consumers to find solutions for bottlenecks and the headaches of repetitive and manual tasks. Recommended changes to ownership and authentication of jobs, tasks, and deployments for functionality, reporting, and tracking.
Supported a full AWS infrastructure providing the largest cloud-based and on-premise email delivery service. Built, maintained, and deployed clusters of application instances across multiple cloud regions offering SMTP and REST API options for customers. Migrated customer application stacks onto a new, multi-tenant, AWS EC2 clustered environment. Designed multiple levels of load balancing. Utilized, reviewed, and added to a code toolset for automation (primarily Python and Bash). Managed and orchestrated configurations using Puppet, Ansible, Docker, Bamboo, and Mercurial. Provisioned and updated monitoring of infrastructure and applications, integrating them with Slack and Atlassian tools. Designed solutions for regular and automated security, patching, and software updates. Served as point of contact for product, development, and support teams for 24x7 support for all customers.
