About

'Robert de Hoop is maritiem en onderwaterarcheoloog en werkt sinds oktober 2017 bij de Rijksdienst voor het Cultureel Erfgoed (RCE). Robert studeerde cum laude af aan Saxion Deventer voor de opleiding Archeologie. De bachelorscriptie van Robert over het voorspellen van onderwater cultureel erfgoed in de gemeente Vlieland was gekoppeld aan een stage bij het Maritiem Programma van de Rijksdienst voor het Cultureel Erfgoed. Hij voltooide zijn master Maritieme Archeologie aan de Universiteit van Zuid-Denemarken, waar hij ook zijn commerciële duikbrevet behaalde. Zijn masterscriptie over de verschillende waarden en over de betekenis van WWII scheepswrakken was genomineerd voor de W.A. van Es prijs.'
