I take customer requirements and turn them into working products. I have 35+ years’ experience as an IT professional, from full stack system architect, software engineer, system administration, hardware technician, and database administration. As a programmer, I've coded in more languages than I can remember. Knowing how to code the logic properly is the important part. The chosen language is just about syntax. I was the system architect, technical lead, and lead software engineer on a worldwide web based asset management product from 1999-2015. During that time, I planned and implemented numerous technology changes, database upgrades and server upgrades. I programmed tools to support moving millions of records from one system to another, either through text files or direct database to database transfers, coded software used on barcode readers for inventory, and interpreted various cryptic proprietary file formats and database structures for importing data from external systems. I've been the technical lead responsible for every aspect of upgrading and keeping the system up and running since its inception. I've been the system architect and lead software engineer for a third party player data armory web application for a massive multiplayer online role playing game which has by far surpassed the game company's own site for displaying the same data. I've worked closely with the game company's developers to assist with designing the structure to support the type of queries needed to show what the players want to see. Prior to that, I've been the webmaster for large organizations, a client server programmer working with PowerBuilder on Windows and Unix clients using Microsoft SQL Server and Sybase Database Server, a Clipper programmer, a Novell, Windows, and Unix system administrator, a hardware technician, and a computer operator. I also spent four years in the US Army as a 74D, Computer Systems Operator.

Lead software developer on a development team designing and coding software solutions in VS Code using Python with SQL Alchemy, Marshmallow, jQuery, HAML, node.js, and MySQL running in a cloud based environment. I am also the lead software architech/developer for a cloud based software development project using C#, .Net, and Microsoft SQL Server running up to 32 simultaneous threads to extract, transform, and load millions of audit records generated per day by hundreds of various application sources and providing them to the audit record consumer in the format they require.
Lead Software Developer on a cloud based development project using C#, .Net, and Microsoft SQL Server to extract, transform, and load millions of audit records generated per day by various applications and provide them to the audit record consumer in the format they require. This includes personally writing the scheduler component of the project that can run multiple threads on each machine simultaneously and can scale out to run on multiple different machines while coordinating everything through a central database. All components of the system, from development, testing, and production, reside in the cloud.
System architect and lead software engineer for a third party player data armory web application for a massive multiplayer online role playing game. The site uses PHP to pull data from a MongoDB using JSON and caches the data locally in a MySQL database for increased performance. It uses the CodeIgniter Framework with ION_Auth for account management. It presents character data in ways that are not possible from within the game itself and has become a valuable tool for players to use in managing their characters. I've been on a panel at two of the company's annual player conferences to give a presentation on the features of the site. It also allows signature generation of player signatures showing their character's data which can be used in forums that automatically update as their character data changes. From 2012 to 2015, this was used to serve over 65 million signatures.
