With a career spanning four decades in the gaming industry, both nationally and internationally, Mr. Yearham has built an impressive legacy. Commencing in 1979 with Ladbrokes in the United Kingdom, he later spent six years in the cruise ship industry, exploring regions as diverse as the Caribbean, South America, the Mediterranean, and Europe. His journey continued in the USA, where he served as a casino manager on the world's largest floating casino for five years. In 1994, Mr. Yearham embarked on his gaming career in southern Africa with Sun International. He held managerial positions at The Royal Swazi Sun in Swaziland and Sun City. In 1997, he joined Peermont, contributing significantly by opening the country's first casino under the new dispensation, Graceland Resort. Relocating to Johannesburg in 1998, he played a pivotal role in launching Emperors Palace. Over the next decade, Mr. Yearham served as the C.O.O. of Emperors Palace and later took on the role of Gaming Operations Executive for the Group. In this capacity, his responsibilities included premium player development, player liaison, recruitment, and training, contributing to the profitability of gaming across the group's nine casinos, including the flagship Emperors Palace. Following his retirement from Emperors Palace in 2019, Mr. Yearham assumed the position of C.O.O. at World Sports Betting (WSB), one of South Africa's largest and busiest online gaming operators. WSB encompasses 18 Race & Sportsbook betting shops nationwide and a robust online gaming platform where customers can engage in online race and sports betting, a diverse range of table games, and an extensive array of slot machine games. I am responsible for leading and managing the overall operations and performance of the company, executing strategic plans and initiatives, optimizing the financial, human, and technical resources, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Mr. Yearham oversees gaming operations for the Group where his role includes premium player development, player liaison, recruitment, training and developing casino management in the Group, gaming development, and contributing to the profitability of gaming. Involved in the mangement and operation of many local and international events within the gaming sector: Tables, Slots, etc. Major role player in Horse Racing events such as he Annual Equus awards, ready to Run challenges, Various Horse Sales, Champions Cup and pioneer of the Golden Mile Charity Horse racing event.
Daily Running of the casino. All duties inclusive of revenues, credits and promotions staff.
