About

My professional journey has drawn together a combination of core business and commercial skills with a strong scientific background. This has allowed me to contribute critical thinking and analysis in the Boardroom together with specific skills in business, research and development, education, social welfare, corporate governance, and government liaison. I have developed extensive skills as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman over the past 22 years, recently retiring from an ASX-300 company board after 13 years and having served on multiple national boards and peak bodies. At a Chair and executive level, I have a demonstrated commitment to, and past success in, building high performing teams and ensuring a pipeline of talent for succession. While no longer undertaking my own research, I remain an internationally recognised scientist specialising in the field of nutrition, with my core focus being grain, food production and food security.
