Design & detail of various shift indicators, shift knobs, electronic housings, decorative trim, and leather/soft trim components from initial concept through production. Primary duties were 3D solid modeling, complex surfacing, part design, and drawing creation using Unigraphics NX software. Other activities included data conversions and transfers, applying geometric dimensioning & tolerancing, design stack studies, draft analysis, electrical wire routing, fixture & gage design, load studies, CAD software installations/maintenance, coordination of FEA, moldflow, and rapid-prototyping. Managing of all out source design (domestic and overseas).
