I have started my career as an analytical chemist in the area of phytochemistry, whereby I have done my research in the optimization of plant extracts to evaluate their antibacterial activity. After completion of my PhD, I continued my studies and work in the pharmaceutical industry and put my focus on biopharmaceuticals, whereby I'm having now more than 13 years of experience in this area. During this time I gained knowledge and expertise in the area of biosimilars as well as new biological entities and supported the development and registration thereof as an analytical project responsible analyst. In this role I was responsible to organize all analytical activities during the development and contributed to the submission and registration in high regulated markets. Furthermore I participated in audits e.g. by the FDA. Since 2021 I'm heading now a team of USP, DSP and analytical experts to support the development and troubleshooting activities for manufacturing of biologics. Besides, I contribute as a scientific expert to the establishment of monographs for EDQM and was also active in the USP working party.
