• Lead a staff of 6 Financial Aid Counselors and 1 Loan Coordinator. Overseeing all aspects of awarding and administering of federal, state and institutional financial aid • Training staff on the eligibility for and awarding of financial aid in accordance with federal and state regulations and the availability of funds • Coordinate with other campus offices to ensure regulatory compliance and efficient student service • Monitor compliance with all new and existing Federal and State financial aid regulations • Manage the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) assessment and appeal process • Reviewing and updating the Policies & Procedures Manual • Reviewing and performing professional judgments and dependency overrides • Monitoring and evaluating the process for the efficient administration of financial aid and recommending modifications to the Director • Overseeing the design and updating of financial aid form, informational brochures and website with current procedural, programmatic and regulatory information • Conducting on-campus and off-campus presentations to develop awareness of financial aid policies and guideline in the College community and the community at large • Presenting financial aid information at College functions such as Orientation, Open House and Admissions nights
• Oversee $21 million Federal Direct Loan program. Responsible for all loan origination and reconciliation of federal Title IV loan funds • Manage $11 million private loan program. Responsible for all certification and reconciliation of loan proceeds • Manage customer service team. Oversee all customer service functions including incoming phone calls, financial aid document tracking, inbound and outbound communication, production and mailing of award letters. Responsible for all training and personal development plans of customer service team • Manage private loan RFI process and production of preferred lender list • Responsible for all Title IV loan set-up in Banner • Manage undergraduate caseload of 475 students determining need for federal, state and institutional grant and loan assistance utilizing federal methodology • Responsible for all Student Financial Services’ presentations to prospective students and families at Open House, Explore Curry, Athletic Recruitment and Accepted Student Day events • Train all new professional staff on federal and private loan processes • Conduct federal loan exit and financial literacy counseling sessions on-campus
