Currently work as a School Based Instructional Coach for the Hospital Schools Program. This program is part of District 75 in the New York City Department of Education and provides educational services to 40 hospital sites throughout the 5 boroughs of New York City. I am responsible for providing professional development to the staff of 125 teachers who work with inpatient students in grades k-12, at these hospital sites. Duties include: planning yearlong staff development meetings, modeling lessons, observing lessons and providing specific feedback to improve instructional practices, and mentoring first year teachers. Prior to this job, I worked for over 10 years as a special education and social studies teacher in various educational setting.
