Currently am the ProjectWise Administrator for the North America branch of EDP Renewables, and am responsible for the implementation of ProjectWise within the company.
I have statewide responsibility as the ProjectWise Administrator and Engineering Applications Manager includes or has included the following duties: Preparing yearly budget recommendations for software maintenance and training of CDOT personnel for supported CAD products. Coordination with agencies outside of CDOT to arrange training for CDOT engineers. Planning, evaluation, and deployment of products and systems used by CDOT engineers. Resolving problems before they become a crisis and maintaining records of licenses to assure compliance with legal limitations. Assisting CDOT engineers with technical aspects of plan preparation, layout, and presentation of engineering designs.
I assisted CDOT engineers and support personnel when technical problems with various CDOT software or systems when problems arose. Assisted Region I engineers regarding engineering standards. I monitored compliance with existing CDOT policies regarding IT issues. Functioned as a domain administrator. I maintained records of existing computer systems used by Region personnel.
The job included preparing plans, specifications, and estimates for construction projects. Prepared planning documents. I maintained, prepared and monitored schedules and budgets for multiple construction and design projects. Additionally, I supervised and provided direction for up to 8 people, both professional and non-professionals. I worked closely with CDOT consultants and other CDOT specialists in the preparation of major multi-million dollar projects in a wide variety of circumstances, ranging from urban settings to the eastern plains to mountain passes. I functioned as a plans checker for CDOT Region I for approximately two years.
I prepared ROW plans and descriptions, plans, specifications, and estimates for construction projects. I was responsible for designing and managing stand-alone and several corridor projects involving multiple multimillion dollar construction projects at various stages from preliminary survey and Environmental Assessment to advertisement. Worked closely with consultants, local entities, State and Federal Agencies, and project specialists to insure compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations as well as CDOT standards. I prepared long range plan estimates and budgets for the corridor projects.
