Portland, Oregon, United States
A funny thing happened on the way from Portland, Oregon to El Paso, Texas. I received a phone call from a long time friend and fellow ICSC government relations chair ( I previously chaired for Oregon and Hawaii), who convinced me to visit him and his company in Anchorage, Alaska. Of course he knew once I got a glimpse of the vast beauty of this area that I would be hooked. After a couple of days of meetings as well as tours of the greater Anchorage area, I was in fact hooked. On Tuesday, August 13th, I started my new role as General Manager of Dimond Center Holdings, LLC. As for El Paso, no harm, no foul as the move there cost them nothing. Love my role here, my talented team, love the area, even love my 9-minute commute to the office each day - water views one way, mountain views the other. The winters will indeed be stout, but I am looking forward to it as I thumb through the options I want for my new snowmobile.
