• Performed and managed design development and review, design advice, defect investigations, technical information reviews, logistics and publications system maintenance and maintenance related investigations. • Carried out technical assessing tasks to provide identification and codification, stock merging, and disposals support. • Provided comprehensive, creative technical solutions to a range of complex problems to support project objectives, such as applying technical expertise to support project system design and analysis activities. • Undertaken integration, verification, validation activities for Aviation Gas GSE and Spatial Disorientation System project to ensure the product meets all requirements including safety and regulatory requirements. • Conducted site and factory acceptance tests and reviews and liaised with equipment Suppliers and Manufacturers. • Developed requirements and undertaken reviews for the Aviation Gas GSE and Spatial Disorientation System project. • Conducted technical information reviews, engineering investigations, including defect investigations and maintenance-related investigations including diagnosing problems and analysing results. • Developed engineering change proposals, technical substitutions and deviations. • Maintained engineering records, updated and maintain databases and prepare and generate technical reports. • Created verification statements for requirements, perform systems analysis to derive function, performance and interface requirements to satisfy system requirements. • Updated and maintained customer mandated systems. • Conducted supportability and engineering analyses and obsolescence management. Undertaken travel as required, both within Australia and internationally, to fulfil the requirements of this role.
• General assistance & support to the customer on airworthiness and engineering matters. • Review of Technical information and/or documentation. • Design development, review, and approval, Judgement of Significance, Design advice in accordance with provisions documented in the AS350BA ISS EMP within authorised scope of Engineering Authority. • Defect investigations and maintenance-related investigations. • Engineering Change Proposals, i.e. Modifications, Substitutions and Deviations. • Develop, review and/or approve maintenance and/or configuration documentation. • Support production requirements through resolution of engineering/technical problems ensuring contracted KPIs are achieved. • Maintain close liaison with and provide assistance to Logistics, Maintenance and Procurement groups. • Maintain close liaison with OEMs, subcontractors and other agencies involved. • Ensure that adequate records are generated and maintained documenting the engineering processes. • Update and maintain project files and hardcopy documentation in accordance with approved procedures. • Populate, maintain and update engineering and task databases such as EAGLE, RShare etc. • Maintain and/or update technical manuals, publications, bulletins, instructions and other data. • Ensure work complies with EH&S and Quality policies and procedures. • Maintain good level of knowledge on Quality systems associated with processing and development of technical, engineering and related logistic data. • Assist with EH&S and Quality audits and procedure reviews as required.
• Operational maintenance of FA-18, PC-9, Blackhawk aircraft at ARDU, RAAF Edinburgh. • Manufacture and installation of aircraft components used for aircraft development and testing purposes.
• Maintenance and modification on F111 and B707 aircraft at RAAF Amberley. • Significant structural modification of B737-700 aircraft for RAAF AEW&C ‘Project Wedgetail’ at RAAF Amberley.
