As the Engagement Manager for a Program Management Office (PMO) within the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate, I serve as a strategic, business advisor to senior Federal leaders focusing on strategy development and implementation. This includes client positioning, client satisfaction, resource alignment, coaching and development of staff, oversight of deliverables, and budget and contract management.
Served as Deputy Engagement Manager and Co-Engagement Manager for the Program Management Office (PMO), performing as the on-site lead. In addition, grew a policy team focused on providing legislative and policy guidance to over 20 senior Federal leaders and scientists within the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate.
Established a policy group to develop policy strategies, policy position papers, legislative recommendations, and other policy materials to support the continued success of the Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate. Conducted analytical research on legislation, regulations, and policy issues while tracking legislation and monitoring congressional activities.
Served as a congressional liaison for FEMA’s Response Division, coordinating with program offices to respond to correspondence from members of Congress. Tracked legislation and analyzed policies affecting the Department of Homeland Security, and aided in the preparation of Agency officials at hearings, briefings, conferences, and meetings before internal and external audiences.
