Took over a failing risk management effort on the JTRS program. I interfaced with leading aerospace contractors in order to mitigate engineering and budget issues. The risk rate was identified and mitigation moved forward.
Consulting PM and PE for Korean T-50 Air craft (US F16). Involved in a testing program of an APU and the upgrade re-design. I developed and implemented a viable reporting system that gave visibility to the program's progress. The customer (KAF) was duly impressed. Client ran out of funds so the program was placed on temporary hold.
Managed a group of SW and HW engineers along with a test engineering staff in the design and development of a Software Defined Military Communications radio system. I assumed responsibility for all aspects of design and development for this program. I instituted a program management reporting profile that gave upper management a more viable and representative look at their cost obligations on a current basis. Throughout this process I counseled the PM in his daily operations. The instituting of these practices reduced the design time into a more financially stable time frame.
