The role was required to provide procurement services for the greenfield build of a new Pipeline to Rail Oil Trans-loading Facility As the lead Project Buyer, my duties include all procurement activities related to the purchase of bulk materials, capital equipment, and construction services for the project.
Buyer for Tracer Industries Canada Ltd,(now known as Pentair) an industrial heat trace EPCm contractor, whose services encompass all aspects of design engineering, procurement / supply, and Capital Construction of integrated heat management systems. My role as a Buyer for Tracer involved the procurement of heat tracing, insulation, cladding, electrical materials and construction related services through approved SAP requisitions. Expediting of project materials, arranging transport, and the regular updates for Project Managers on the status/ ETA of their required items were also managed. . Additionally, I supported the Proposals and Estimates group with pricing and delivery information to support company project bids.
Risley Manufacturing is a large scale OEM manufacturer of forest harvesting attachments and purpose built feller-bunchers for the logging industry As their Senior Buyer, my responsibilities included the purchasing of all required materials and services for the production of Lim-mit Delimbers and Rotosaw sawheads, assistance in sourcing and purchasing materials for various R&D departments, and the special purchase of all Caterpillar component packages for the manufacture of Risley's TK line of Feller-Bunchers.
