I began my time in Construction as a Steamfitter Apprentice. I began running work in my 3rd year. Upon completion of my 5 years, I was promoted to Superintendent within 6 months, on a Greenfield Miller Brewery in Georgia. I was then sent by the company to Houston, Texas, where I began experience in estimating and management. I travelled extensively in my career, both domestically and internationally. I have supervised and managed commercial, industrial, power generation, and oil & gas projects around the world, including China, Trinidad, and Guantanamo. My experience included all levels of craft supervision (all disciplines), Mid-level Project Management, Senior Level Project Management, and Operations Management. I have managed projects for both Mechanical and General Contractors. My strengths lie in knowledge of mechanical systems, and construction operations (safety, project accounting, scheduling, planning, and execution), with one of my strongest attributes being communication skills, both upward and downward. I have received a Life Experience Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management. Safety has always been my highest priority. I have even gone to the extent of attending a university to acquire my OSHA 500 and 510 certifications, which gave me the opportunity to teach safety to all levels of the project workforce, as well as instill in the workers to carry safety awareness 100% of the time. I do have a sample of my certifications available upon request.
