  • Public Board Director - Chow Group Limited ("CGL" an NZX public company) at Retail Information Systems (RIS)
    2009 - 2015 · 6 yrs

For 6 years, I was an Executive Board Director of RIS Group Limited (RIS), a publicly listed company on the New Zealand Stock Exchange (NZX). My responsibilities included; liaising with the NZX, Shareholders, Auditors, various Board Members, Advisors and relevant Compliance officers whilst working with fellow Directors / Management regarding strategic business opportunities. The Company was a small cap stock, peaking at approx. AUD$90million market capitalisation in 2009. Post the divestment of its Australian Payments IT subsidiary, the Board reached an agreement with a commercial party in Q4 of 2015, announcing at a Special Meeting of Shareholders, there would be a reverse listing with the Chow Brothers ("CGML - www.cgml.co.nz" - a NZD$200million successful and privately owned commercial property group in NZ). This made way for a new Board, and a new company direction with specialist Commercial Property Management personnel to take RIS Group into the commercial property industry. In March 2016, RIS Group Limited ("RIS") changed its name and NZX code to Chow Group Limited ("CGL"). CGL was then delisted from the NZX as Management decided to revert back to a Privately owned Company in July 2018.
