As Senior Advisor, I help shape and deliver Tractebel’s strategic ambitions in the nuclear sector by combining deep technical expertise with market insight. I support the development of high-value engineering solutions and contribute to the success of major large nuclear infrastructure projects worldwide. Key focus areas: • Advising on complex technical and commercial aspects of large nuclear tenders and projects. • Enhancing Tractebel’s value proposition across engineering and project delivery models (PIAT, OE, EPCM, Design of EPC, etc.). • Identifying market trends and customer needs to drive strategic choices and business growth. • Supporting strategic partnerships and key account development to strengthen our global footprint. • Promoting excellence and knowledge-sharing across teams to deliver high-impact solutions, with a focus on large nuclear new build, operation support, defence, decommissioning, radwaste management, and advanced technologies such as research reactors, fusion, space, and medical applications. My role is centered on delivering trusted expertise, fostering collaboration, and helping clients navigate the challenges and opportunities of nuclear infrastructures with confidence.
I lead the business development and sales activities for Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) and international nuclear projects. I work closely with a broad range of public and private stakeholders, including the European Commission, Belgian and Dutch Authorities, ESA, EDF, EPZ Borssele, Eskom, ExxonMobil, OPG, SCK‑CEN, and innovative nuclear players such as NUWARD, Thorizon, Hexana, TerraPower, and Urenco. Alongside this role, I am an active member of Tractebel’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) team, where I lead the Fair Operating Practices & Human Rights pillar, contributing to responsible business conduct across the organization.
Worldwide development and commercialization of nuclear products and services, including plant operation support, new build projects, advanced reactor technologies, and decommissioning & radioactive waste management. Strategic account management and partnership development, supporting the structuring and securing of major contracts across Europe, the Middle East, South Africa, and Latin America.
Director of a global competence center covering: - nuclear reactors & nuclear island fluid systems - HVAC & fire / explosion protection - waste management, decommissioning and radiation protection - new nuclear power plants (NPP) designs (EPR, AP1000, Atmea1,...) and technical integration of complex multidisciplinary projects, incl. Owner's Engineer and EPCM assignments. The projects delivered include support to the Belgian nuclear fleet and other NPP operators, major modifications to existing NPPs, and the development of new nuclear power plants. These projects encompass stress tests and operational support for the seven Belgian NPP units, long-term operation of the Tihange 1 NPP, steam generator replacements (Ulchin, Koeberg, Doel), surface and geological radioactive waste disposal solutions, interim spent fuel storage facilities, decommissioning of nuclear installations, and preparation of bid invitation specifications for new NPP projects in France, Romania, and the United Kingdom.
General Manager of the French engineering company ITENA focused on mechanical equipment, nuclear decommissioning, waste management and safety. Based and living in Paris. Accountable for operations, commercial performance, finance, human resources and social dialogue with staff representatives and unions. Main customers: Andra, Areva, CEA, CPCU, EDF, Endel, Eurodif, GDF Suez. Turnover raised by 20 %, while increasing strongly the profitability of the company. In parallel, organization and execution of the merger between ITENA and Coyne et Bellier, resulting in the creation of Tractebel Engineering France, including the management of the legal information and consultation process with trade unions.
