Despite global headwinds in sustainability and the energy transition, we remain committed to driving change toward a more sustainable future. We support the deployment of renewable energy and industrial energy efficiency technologies in emerging markets. In addition, we contribute to securing critical raw materials for Europe and the Netherlands, while helping emerging markets move downstream in their value chains—promoting sustainable mining and refining practices. Based in Jakarta, Indonesia, I collaborate with renewable energy developers, multilateral organizations, and government ministries to accelerate sustainable progress across Indonesia and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
Pondera’s services range from government policy research to supporting renewable energy project development at all stages of the project life cycle. Examples are studies looking into the feasibility of different forms of sustainable energy generation. We also execute wind measurements, conduct wind resource assessments and set up tenders for the procurement of supplier and contractors for new projects.
Writing a roadmap to offer a new product (inventory finance) to the Mexican market, including the commercial, legal, risk and operational requirements. In addition, I organized a dialog on how to apply our company values and personal ethics on day to day dilemmas in our work
One to Watch invests in entrepreneurs who take on a responsible leadership position in the Nepali and Burmese societies. Our investments and expertise supports entrepreneurs in the missing middle who are actively solving problems and creating jobs for local people. To ensure that these entrepreneurs are ready to scale with an investment, we run accelerator programs (Rockstart Impact and Enterprise) to improve their business strategy, the understanding of their current finances and their future financial strategy, and to become more familiar with investment opportunities.
Rockstart Impact is a business accelerator program in Nepal and Myanmar, bridging the gap between local entrepreneurs and (inter)national growth capital. Our goal is to enable social entrepreneurs to create sustainable and inclusive development in Myanmar. Since we are working closely together with the Impact Investment manager One to Watch, and can also implement and manage the entire impact investment cyclus (starting with the sourcing, ending after an exit). The program has been in operation in Nepal since 2014, where 21 of our alumni companies have received investment pledges, worth over €3mln in total.
