Responsibility for all aspects of Repair and Overhaul activities and Services (Overseas Working Parties) across all Customer base & aircraft platforms with several significant Suppliers. Reviewing capabilities and capacities of new and existing Suppliers and investigating new sourcing strategies within the Supplier base. Identifying the risks of new strategic proposals and developing & implementing corrective action and ensuring correct Supplier approvals are in place Negotiating with Suppliers to secure suitable contracts for goods and services and agreeing Long Term Supplier Agreements that will meet the requirements of the Customer. Continued support of all stakeholders within the delivery programme.
Balancing Customer demands and product inventory to support tight lead times of the supply chain. Forecasting sales and production schedules. Auditing inventory and examining performance metrics. Advising senior management on progress and potential problems with scheduling. Budgeting and maintaining the stock level and value. Managing excess stock. Working on shift pattern to support Customer AOG (Aircraft on Ground) requirements. Offering technical solutions, alternative parts and negotiating stock transfers with Customers to satisfy AOG requirements.
Customer interface with the Ministry of Defence managing after-sales via the Apache Integrated Operational support (IOS) team. Identifying joint ventures between Leonardo and the MoD resulting in significant joint savings. Project managing aircraft modifications. Negotiating contracts with the MoD for set pricing periods.
