    • Project Leader
      Mar 2018 - May 2018 · 3 mos

I held the role of Project Leader at the Sellafield Ltd. Innovation Centre for a project. The ‘Innovation Centre’ was set up within the last few years in order to meet a growing business need to solve complex problems effectively in a very short time frame with a very low budget. Projects are submitted to the Innovation Centre from across the business, they are then screened and scored to ensure the highest priority and impact projects are addressed first. A Project Team is then formed from individuals across the business who applied for a secondment at the centre and a Project Leader chosen. I was chosen as Project Leader for the project the team was given. My project team was formed of 8 people (including myself) from a range of backgrounds, experience levels and disciplines. We were given 6 weeks and £15,000 to develop a working solution to the problem posed to us. As Project Leader I was responsible for planning, budgeting, organisation and direction of people and resources and control of tasks. I was also responsible for leading the team and developing the individuals within it.
