A creative, audience-focused arts professional, with marketing, comms, fundraising and commercial skills. Senior management and Board-level experience in brand, marketing, communications, sales and fundraising across subsidised and commercial fields including: -award-winning brand development, -extensive major event marketing campaigns, -fundraising (corporate, sponsorship, trusts, events, public appeals), -corporate comms and advocacy, -memberships, -revenue and pricing, -ticketing systems, -education, audience development and access, -catering and event hire, -website and app development, -commissioning and producing short films, -design and publications, -copywriting (for proposals/publications/websites/speeches/campaigns etc) -evaluation and research. Previous roles: Birmingham Hippodrome, Warwick Arts Centre, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra. Impakt was set up in 2019 to address the need for more strategic brand planning across arts and education charities, entertainment and heritage, and other creative businesses. Clients include Southbank Centre, Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, Amgueddfa Cymru, Belgrade Theatre Coventry, Cadogan Hall, The Lowry, Aberdeen Performing Arts, Birmingham City University, Nevill Holt Festival, Coventry City of Culture, Birmingham Colmore, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Opera North, CORE Education Trust, OPUS, Action Links, Birmingham Ormiston Academy (BOA), Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Royal Court Theatre, Birmingham Hippodrome and others. I am a Trustee both of Birmingham Botanical Gardens and Severn Arts (who organise instrumental teaching in schools, and regional arts festivals), a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and a Fellow of the RSA. I've completed both the Marketing Week Mini MBA in Brand Management and Cambridge University's Sustainability Leadership course, and I'm on the founding board of the Arts & Culture Network. Impakt is a joint (ad)venture with Substrakt, a digital agency with offices in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, and clients in Europe and North America. Substrakt is focused on cultural clients offering strategic support to Shakespeare’s Globe, Sadler's Wells, English National Opera, Birmingham Hippodrome, Santa Fe Opera, Royal Court, Opera North, Waddesdon Manor, Lloyd Webber Theatres, The Lowry, Sage Gateshead and many others.
