I am passionate about helping and equipping children, young people and families to flourish by providing therapeutic assessment, treatment and consultation across a wide range of settings: nursery, primary & secondary schools, sensory integration clinics, individual home-based assessment & treatment and working with statutory & non-statutory organisations. My specialisms include: child development, neurodiversity, functional motor skills, sensorimotor processing, attachment & trauma, child and adolescent mental health. I can deliver training on any of these clinical topics upon request.
Providing therapeutic assessment, treatment and consultation for and with children and families through a wide range of channels including both primary and secondary schools (mainstream, SEN, SEMH, maintained and independent schools), therapy clinics, statutory and non-statutory agencies and home-based intervention. OT specialisms include: paediatric neurodevelopment, motor skills, sensory integration, attachment, child and adolescent mental health. Providing specialist OT assessments and therapeutic treatment for children, young people and families regarding Dyspraxia / DCD and related sensory and functional difficulties
Providing occupational therapy and sensory integration intervention to one SEMH school on a fortnightly basis. This includes: direct therapeutic intervention to students; staff training & coaching.
Providing trauma-informed sensory integration therapy to children / young people and families. The majority of work was funded via the Adoption Support Fund. Work included trauma-informed OT assessment and direct SI therapy sessions in clinic(with a focus upon regulation work and parent-coaching); liaison and meeting attendance with schools and families; providing reports for social workers and to support EHCP process.
