Qualified Land Surveyor (BSc) with over 20 years experience. I started my career at Costain at 18 years of age in 1999, and worked my way up from chainman to surveyor, including studying for a degree in Surveying & Mapping Sciences over 3 years. Experienced with all the usual Civil Engineering Surveying responsibilities associated with heavy civil engineering projects, such as setting out and engineering surveying for earthworks, structures, tunnels, marine, and temporary works. Efficient with all latest survey equipment and software packages, such as Leica total stations, Trimble GPS, LSS software, Leica GeoMos software, Star*Net software, and Trimble Business Centre. Achieved full membership of the Chartered Institute of Civil Engineering Surveyors in October 2011. Specialisms: Highly skilled with LSS software. Automated monitoring systems. Now retired from surveying and driving trains for a living!
