I manage Loup's (Union Pacific subsidiary) financial data through SQL, Tableau, and UI Path. I assist with ad hoc projects with a focus on providing better financial visibility for the organization.
I managed the accounts receivable and accounts payable through AppFolio. I assisted with month-end bank reconciliations as well as property budgeting and forecasting.
I managed UP's Casualty liability accounts for personal injury and environmental remediation. I filed 8-Ks in a timely and efficient manner.
I worked with customers to correctly and accurately apply on average, $60 million in payments everyday to the correct invoices. I drove process improvements in order to improve the time it takes to apply payments. I assisted our customer account managers in handling customer disputes and issuing refunds in a timely manner.
I analyzed train car movement in order to accurately record revenue. I conducted variance tests for Union Pacific's railroad system in order to find any large increases and decreases in the rates we are charging. I then worked with our Marketing and Sales team as well as our Ratings team to verify and correct the discrepancies. I verified and fixed a fee billing issue related to the Alameda Corridor affecting 30,000 cars per year and 12 locations in Los Angeles, CA.
I assisted the lead researchers in the lab with their studies to ensure that the study participants accurately complete each study. In addition, I also maintained the lab for tours in order to promote UNO's business school. Lastly, I drove process improvement measures in order to better record and maintain the lab's data generated from the studies.
