Spike Ventures is a community of Stanford University alums: investors, entrepreneurs and innovation enthusiasts with a connection to our alma mater. Annually we invest in 15-20 companies across various industries, stages and geographies. As Venture Partner, I assist in building Spike's portfolio and the Stanford entrepreneurial community.
I co-founded HiFi Ventures and was Managing Director for four years. I will continue to manage portfolio companies as a Venture Partner as I make the move back into an operational role.
• Led the design, development, and launch of Skype Video Messaging on all platforms Skype was acquired by MSFT for $8.5 Billion.
• Led core product initiatives including: - First mobile video chat product to launch in the US - First mobile video product to upload to Facebook - Address book upload and matching from the mobile device (patented) • Developed & managed key partnerships with carriers and OEMs: - Sprint - T-Mobile - Samsung - LG - HTC - Cisco Qik was acquired by Skype for $150 Million.
