I am currently a sophomore double majoring in Finance and Artificial Intelligence in Computer Science at MIT. I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, and at the core of who I am is my faith and desire to connect with others. I play lacrosse for MIT, where I was named Rookie of the Year this past season. I am also a member of MIT’s premier Sloan Business Club and have been able to grow my financial knowledge and soft skills significantly this past year. This past semester I enjoyed my Managerial Finance class in which I learned crucial valuation and analysis strategies, as well as applying my knowledge in real-world case studies. I also thoroughly appreciated my Python Programming class in which I matured not only in fundamental programming, but also in problem solving and algorithmic thinking. Outside of college, I interned at Roam, a tech startup where I applied business strategy to lead the development and integration of their in-app referral system, as well as working with behavioral data analytics to maximize MoM user growth and user retention. I am the Cofounder and President of the Recursion Program Young Leaders Board; a nonprofit organization focused on engaging youth to participate in the fight against poverty. This past summer, I worked at Stifel Institutional with the fixed income team and the information systems team. I was able to gain high-yield and investment grade debt trade floor experience through researching various capital structure options, such as dividend recaps and debt refinancing, and participating in strategic discussions on credit and macroeconomic positions. I am passionate about a career in Investment Banking or Private Equity because of my drive for critical thinking and quantitative background at MIT. I know that I have more than enough grit and conscientiousness to be successful in these paths, and I believe that my extroverted nature will allow me to build lasting bonds with colleagues and clients.
Optimizing NCAA recruiting with data analytics and AI Piloting with 3 NCAA Division I Athletic Departments (and counting)
- Supported front-office and IS systems integration while gaining exposure to the trading floor, participating in strategy discussions on equities, credit, and macroeconomic positioning. - Collaborated with Investment Banking team to evaluate capital structure options, contributing research and strategic support for a $130M leveraged loan issuance for dividend recapitalization & debt refinancing. - Conducted ongoing financial research and macroeconomic monitoring to inform internal commentary on rates, inflation, and sector performance.
- Led end-to-end development and rollout of Roam’s in-app referral system, targeting 10% MoM increase in user growth through incentivized invites. - Partnered with engineers, designers, and marketing to align UX, growth funnel metrics, and Market launch: system was tested with a user cohort of 100+ to validate engagement and retention. - Conducted competitive landscape analysis and behavioral cohort segmentation to refine product-market fit and support strategic roadmap planning.
