Global Brain is one of the largest venture capital firms in Japan. We invest globally in almost all sectors with total asset under management of $1.3 billion. Our firm was first established in 1998 and started investing in startups in 2001, which makes us one of the oldest venture capital firms in the country. Our headquarter is based out of Tokyo, and we have offices in Seoul, Jakarta, Singapore, London, San Francisco, and New York. My focus sectors are climate tech/circular economy/clean tech, and I also cover deep tech / fintech.
We're Twelve, the carbon transformation company. We harness CO2 as a resource, transforming it into essential products like fuels, chemicals and materials. We're on a mission to advance industrial innovation and build a world made from air.
The world's first high pressure, ultra-efficient electrolyser for the lowest cost of pressurised green hydrogen.
CleanFiber™ makes high-performance cellulose insulation from recycled corrugated cardboard boxes and other clean sources of high quality fiber. The company was formerly known as Ultracell Insulation and was founded by veteran cellulose installers, who wanted to see this industry thrive despite declining supplies of old newsprint (which is the primary feedstock of the industry today). CleanFiber's product provides lower dust, lower contamination, and better coverage that competitive product. Our unique and patented process for embedding fire retardants in our product allows us to deliver a superior product at a cost-competitive price.
ZeoDAC is utilizing zeolite and molecular sieve materials that have established supply chains because of their use in other industries, and enabling them for use in the fight against climate change. Our proprietary adsorption process utilizes a unique combination of molecular sieves that can remove CO2 directly from air. Deploying these solid adsorbents for direct air capture provides opportunities for a lower cost, more scalable, more stable, and more environmentally benign solution than other approaches. Expertise from two world renowned academic groups combined to start ZeoDAC. Professor Christopher Jones (Georgia Tech), who is a leading expert in direct air capture, and Professor Mark E. Davis (Caltech), who is a leading expert in zeolites, founded ZeoDAC 2023. ZeoDAC is part of the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) based in Atlanta, GA.
