Main Duties & Responsibilities: • The General Manager ("GM") reports to the Managing Director/Board of Directors. The scope of the GM’s responsibility would be vast, including strategy, planning and overseeing/managing execution of the business units. • Support the Board in the strategy development leading the company towards its vision. • Develop and control profits, plans, and budgets. Manage P&L statement for the overall company. Develop, steward and protect assets & capital plans of the operation. • Develop, manage and maintain the relationships with the respective banking and financial partners of the company. Present and secure the overall company and project financing requirements. • Define and implement controls, processes, policies and procedures for the areas involved across the company’s business units and functions. • Establish and monitor overall company performance for efficiency and meeting of quality standards. • Provide leadership, direction, development of management, strategy and planning with relevant business functions through definition of organization skills, hiring and retaining key employees for appropriate staffing levels to accomplish the company goals and objectives. • The analysis, interpretation of "Contracts/Tenders/Requests for Bids" from all authorities, Contractors and sub-contractors in a manner of risk assessment and overall contract and deliverable management. • Supervise and coordinate supply chain activities, including the development & management of a global sourcing strategy, vendor performance, and the development of supplier base and strategic partnerships. • Manage and maintain the current product catalogue with incremental improvements in line with customer demands. Ideate, design and build new products including initiating and implementing technology absorption and its integration into the product catalogue in keeping with the company’s business goal
• 2000-2008, SYB GROUP, U.A.E, Trading, Luxury and Armored cars export and reexport , General Manager, Responsibilities were basically same as those described above and included all areas of sales and customer service.
• 1994-1999, Kroymans Jaguar import, The Netherlands, Jaguar import and distribution, General Sales Manager, Company Track of Success: Began as a Dealer manager and was promoted to Sales Manager and then to General Sales Manager. • Management: Managed and directed overall administration and operation of automobile dealerships which achieved an average 189 sales per month (110 new cars). Re engineered management methods which streamlined operations and increased sales. Conducted ongoing analyzes to evaluate the efficiency, quality and productivity of operations. • Customer Service: After taking over management position, increased the SSI(sales satisfaction index),from the 80's to 92%. • Personel & Supervision: Interviewed, hired, trained and supervised staff members. Managed 2 Marketing managers, 2 finance managers and a Dealer manager. Delegated work responsibilities and monitored overall job performances to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications, rules, and regulations. Budget Management: Managed, analyzed, and administered a multimillion dollar budget for operating expenditures. Responsible for financial performance analysis and business planning and development functions. Analyzed budget variances and initiated appropriate guidelines to more aggressively control expenditures and increase profitability. Established budget guidelines to operate more efficiently. • Employee Relations: Developed and implemented employee relations programs to increase morale, productivity and efficiency. Encouraged and supported a teamlike work environment. • Advertising,Promotions & Marketing: Organized, coordinated and implemented company's advertising and marketing strategies into everyday operations. Set up and arranged special activities and events to promote company and its services. Managed and administered a $45,000 monthly advertising budget.
