I have been an RN since 2004. I completed my ADN in 2004 and BSN in 2011 both at Ohio University. I began working at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) as a Stat Nurse in 2013. In this unique role I respond to emergencies such as code blues, traumas, and stroke alerts, as well as provide surveillance to identify patients that are at risk of declining and advocating for early intervention. Prior to coming to OSUWMC I worked at as an ICU nurse and PICC nurse at a community hospital. I maintain specialty nursing certifications in Critical Care (CCRN), Vascular Access (VA-BC), and Oncology (OCN). I also serve on the board of directors for the Ohio State University Nursing Organization (OSUNO) which allows me to better advocate for quality safe patient care and help build a healthy work environment at OSUWMC.
