Responsible for managing, directing, and coordinating manufacturing activities of the Grand Ledge Manufacturing Plant to meet safety, quality, delivery, cost and strategic objectives by performing the following duties personally or through direct report managers and supervisors. Managing areas including Supervisors, Fabrication, Machining, Pre -Assembly, Assembly, Paint, Controls, Warehouse/Inventory and Maintenance Departments. Employee count ranges between 30 - 50 and has been up to 100. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these departments. Additional responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. - Manage achievement of Grand Ledge Plant manufacturing goals - Coordinate and expedites activities of all manufacturing departments and functions. - Manage overall manufacturing staffing requirements. - Maintain and improve housekeeping standards in the manufacturing facility and on Grand Ledge property. - Develop and implement plans to achieve manufacturing goals personally and through direct reports.
Maintain 40,000 sq/ft fast pasted repair shop. Order all materials related to the Service Department and technicians. Maintain an open working relationship with all customers. Supervise the training of service technicians in and outside training facilities. Build and develop a market for service work. Schedule service work according to priority and maintain an orderly flow of work. Handle customer complaint problems pertaining to service and repair work. Help service personnel diagnose troubles if they do not know the problem or cannot find it. Works in co-ordination with Parts, Office, Sales and Management. Make sure warranty claims are processed and forwarded to supplier.
Maintain buildings located in West Branch, Mi as well as Lansing, Mi. Supervise the activities of all maintenance workers. Maintain budget for all jobs. Order new equipment where required for each job. Prepare, maintain, and approve all records relating to subordinates work schedules, payroll, daily time tickets, disciplines, etc. Perform high level of carpentry skills such as building new offices, new floors, outside maintenance, lawns, vehicle, parking lot, etc. Ability to do intermediate wiring and plumbing. Familiar with all aspects of maintaining large buildings.
