Summer placement at the Unilever Centre for Molecular Informatics at Department of Chemistry. Tasks involved verifying, refining and developing a database detailing cytochrome P450 structure-activity relationships.
Work Experience at Genesys' research and production laboratory. I ran PCRs and various gel electrophoreses and aided in culturing an engineered strain of E. coli, including proof-sequencing the plasmids to be transformed.
Work Experience in the Revenue Development Department at Avis Head Office. I shadowed an analyst, producing various web scraping scripts, as well as sitting in on various meetings discussing the mathematical predictive models being developed in the department.
