Hi! I am Richeek Debnath, recently completed BS-MS Dual Degree, majoring in Chemical Science from IISER Berhampur, an autonomous institute under MHRD, Govt. of India. I did my master's thesis from LCC CNRS, Toulouse under Dr. Vincent CESAR. Talking about my skills and techniques are Organic Synthesis,Titrations,crystallisation,purification,distillation,separation,column chromatography,thin layer chromatography, handling of air and water-sensitive chemicals, standard Schlenk line technique and use of a glovebox.,Interpretation of data from UV-Vis Spectroscopy, NMR Spectroscopy,Safe laboratory practices, handling, and disposal of chemical waste-basic knowledge in Python and LateX, Skilled in Chemical Analysis and visualization software like MNova and Chemdraw.Skilled in writing and managing software such as MS Office and Mendeley Setting up of a new laboratory space, including the ordering of new glassware, Laboratory instruments, and chemicals, and the setting up of a new solvent distillation setup and photochemistry setup.
Worked on "Design and Reactivity of Ru NHC-thiolate Complexes: Application in Dehydrogenative Transformations" under Dr. Vincent Cesar, Laboratoire de Chimie de Coordination (LCC), Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), Toulouse, France, through NaNOX Mobility INSA Fellowship Grant. Poster Presentation “Societe Chimique de France Congress 2026” (June 22-24) on “A non-innocent, π-extended N-heterobicyclic carbene-thiolate ligand”.
Worked on "Ferrocene Appended Energetic Materials for Novel Solid Propellant" under the supervision of Dr. Raja Mitra at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Goa, India, through the Summer Fellowship Program.
Worked on "Solvent Behavior of Self-Umpolung Azo-based dyes" under the supervision of Prof. Stephan M Huber at Ruhr Universität Bochum (RUB), Bochum, Germany though DAAD-Wise and Solvation Science (RESOLVE Exchange Fellowship Program.
Selected for the Indian Academy Science IASc-INSA-NASI Summer Research Fellowship under Prof. Vijaya Anand in IISER Mohali but unable to secure that scholarship due to selection in another exchange Program
Worked on "Synthesis of new metal-free catalysts and Synthesis of BOIMPY & its applications" under the supervision of Prof. Swadhin K Mandal at the Indian Institute of Science Education & Research (IISER), Kolkata.
