I am the Chief Operating Officer of a high performing and multiple award winning SME offering a range of services within the UK primarily Precontract Management, Project Management, Estimating, Design, Project Management Office services and Tendering. I jointly founded RPS in 2017 to offer high quality, flexible services to the railway industry and we have since expanded into wider UK infrastructure industries due to growing demand. Our team has a diverse and significant breadth of experience providing a suite of specialised services that rival large consultancies whilst maintaining the flexibility and commitment of a smaller organisation. Our experience includes working with clients such as West Midlands Trains, Great Central Railway, Network Rail, HS2 Ltd, Sener, BAM Nuttall, Morgan Sindall, Ferrovial and VVB whereby we became trusted partners in the development and delivery of projects and outputs. We have won awards including Start-Up Business of The Year (East Midlands Region) from The Federation of Small Businesses (FBS) and Micro Business of the Year from the Railway Industry Association (RIA). We have presented, at the University of Cambridge, University of Warwick, University of Loughborough and the National College of High-Speed Rail about the success of our small business and the offering we make to the rail industry. Personally, I am experienced leading and delivering complex multidisciplinary engineering projects within the challenging railway environment including station buildings, depots, control centres, platform extensions and various refurbishments. Accompanying this experience is a unique knowledge of railway maintenance, control, signalling, operations, freight and transport policing which I have gained during my time within Network Rail and its partners. I have personally been successful in winning two awards – The Young Rail Professional of the Year Award 2015 and Network Rail’s Best New Entrant Award 2015. I was also short-listed for a third award -The Rail Staff Awards in 2015.
As a Company Director in RPS I have a fundamental role leading our growing team in supporting clients with a range of high-value services throughout the rail industry. My capability in bringing all parties along the project journey through successful interface management ensures RPS delivers the resolution of complex project challenges.
Through RPS I am leading the WMT project and alliancing team across the portfolio of work.
Through RPS I undertook the role of Precontracting Bid Manager for a leading contractor to lead and deliver work winning activities from large client bodies across the UK.
Seconded through RPS into HS2 Ltd I act as Project Manager / Interface Manager working closely across the Area North portfolio ensuring interfaces are managed smoothly. This includes liaising closely with Network Rail's ASPRO and On Network Works teams aswell as HS2's Enabling Works Contractors, Main Works Civil Contractors and Engineering Delivery Partners.
Seconded through RPS into HS2 Ltd's Engineering Delivery Partner I assisted Sener with Work Package 6 - Washwood Heath Depot and the Network Integrated Control Centre.
