Greater Seattle Area
Currently seeking work in a field that is challenging yet rewarding. I am an ambitious individual who can work with any kind of person, alone, in a team, or in a role of leadership, I have experience in all. I am not currently looking for anything specific, however I can be taught any industry, regardless of complication. As of now, I have an AS in Biochemistry from Green River College and a year of experience at University of Minnesota in the College of Science and Engineering. While at both Green River College and U of M, I was a laboratory assistant to both my biology professor and physics professor respectively. For both schools, I was in charge of setting up lab before class begun, cleaning up lab after class had ended, and helping any students who had questions or needed help during lab. It was my responsibility to read all the required material (and thoroughly understand it), show up to lab before everyone else, set up lab, and teach when needed, all without supervision from the professor. In terms of employment, I have over a year of experience at Safeway in customer service, and over a year of experience at The Home Depot as a Lumber Associate, with some time as manager of my department. More details on both jobs are listed in my profile. Most recently, I had been working in a machine shop located in Auburn, Washington for over a year. In this shop, we operated any kind of hands-on machinery you can think of from hydraulic presses, to saws, to sanders, etc. There were also a multitude of CNC machines but the ones that I personally experienced using were the CNC lathes, grinders, and engraver.
While a student attending Green River College, I was the laboratory assistant to my biology professor. As a laboratory assistant, it was my job to set up, maintain, teach when necessary, clean up, and report back to the professor on any laboratory days.
